SCOPE OF WORK :
Pegasus (UK) Ltd. and Apec Energy Ltd. were contracted by GTCL to provide project management and construction engineering support services for this project.
Scope of work includes:
- Detailed engineering review including route selection, pipeline material and grade confirmation.
- River crossing design using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method.
- Preparations of documents for submission to local government authorities.
- Review of contractor’s proposals for impressed current catholic protection system, trenching, rock dumping and commissioning.
- supervise, monitor and review installation & commissioning procedures & activities.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION :
Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), a subsidiary of Petrobangla planned to construct a 30-inc 54 km Habiganj-Ashuganj pipeline. The pipeline will help increase transmission and distribution of natural gas to the country’s northern district through Bangabandhu Multi-Purpose Bridge. The pipeline links the Rashidpur Gas Field (Habiganj) to the national gas grid at Ashuganj. As a result, more gas will be transmitted directly to the national grid and the additional gas will be supplied to the country’s western region.
